Coffee Bourbon Sauce

Ingredients

  1. 2/3 c sugar
  2. 1/2 c strong brewed coffee, regular or decaf
  3. 1 T bourbon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar and coffee to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in bourbon, if using.
  4. Cool slightly.
  5. Serve over vanilla ice cream.
