Snickerdoodle Cupcakes

Ingredients
Cupcakes
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 2 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 4 oz unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c whole milk
- 1 t vanilla extract
Topping
- 2 T unsalted butter, softened
- 6 T flour
- 2 T brown sugar
- 1/4 c chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 t cinnamon
Instructions
Cupcakes
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Line muffin tins with pape liners, spray with nonstick spray.
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar on high speed till fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add eggs, mix well.
- Set mixer to low speed, add milk and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients and stir, just till combined.
- Fill muffin cups 1/2 full.
Topping
- Mix all ingredients together till crumbly.
- Sprinkle over cupcakes.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
