Southwestern Grilled Chicken Wings with Black Bean Dip

    Cooking the wings on the grill at a low temperature for a long time produces tendy, juicy, fall of the bone wings with a crisp skin.


    Chicken Wings

  1. 4 lbs chicken wings
  2. 6 T butter, melted
  3. 6 T Frank's Red Hot sauce
  4. 1 T cumin, ground
  5. 2 T fresh cilantro, chopped
  6. 2 T fresh lime juice
  7. Black Bean Dip

  8. 1/2 c canned black beans, rinsed and drained
  9. 1/4 c prepared salsa verde
  10. 1/4 c sour cream
  11. 1 T fresh lime juice
  12. 2 t Frank's Red Hot sauce
  13. 2 t fresh cilantro, chopped
  14. 1/2 t salt


    Black Bean Dip

  1. Place beans, salsa verde, sour cream, lime juice, hot pepper sauce, cilantro, and salt in blender or food processor.
  2. Process until smooth, set aside
  3. Wings

  4. Prepare gas or charcoal grill or preheat broiler
  5. Place chicken wings on grill and cook over low heat, turning, until cooked through, about 10 to 12 minutes per side.
  6. Place wings in bowl and coat with melted butter.
  7. Add hot sauce, cumin, cilantro and lime juice. Toss well to coat.
  8. Serve wings with black bean dip.
