Ingredients

  1. 1 muffuletta bread loaf or 4 individual buns
  2. olive salad, such as Solestado
  3. 1/4 lb genoa salami, sliced thin
  4. 1/4 lb hot capicola, sliced thin
  5. 1/4 lb mortadella or ham, sliced thin
  6. 1/8 lb Swiss cheese, sliced
  7. 1/8 lb provolone cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cut the muffuletta loaf or buns in half lengthwise o.
  2. Generously brush both halves with the oil from the olive salad.
  3. Layer as such: half of the salami on the bottom, then the mortadella or ham, Swiss cheese, capicola, provolone cheese, and remainder of the salami.
  4. Top all of this with the olive salad.
  5. Add the top of the bread back on and press down. It's good to go as is, but some people leave it compressed for an hour or more. Some people wrap it up tightly and let it sit overnight.
  6. Cut the sandwich into quarters and enjoy.
