    The oil will harden when stored in the refrigerator, take out early to warm up before serving.


  1. 1 shallot, finely minced
  2. 1 t Dijon mustard
  3. 2 t red wine vinegar
  4. 1/4 c extra-virgin olive oil
  5. 1 t sugar
  6. 1 t agave or honey
  7. Kosher salt, to taste
  8. freshly ground black pepper, to taste


  1. Combine the shallot, mustard, vinegar, oil, sugar, agave, salt, and pepper in a jar and shake to emulsify.
