Hoagie Dip

  1. 1/4 lb deli ham, sliced
  2. 1/4 lb Genoa salami, sliced
  3. 1 c sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (4 oz)
  4. 1/2 small iceburg lettuce shredded
  5. 3 plum tomatoes, diced and drained
  6. 1/2 small red or yellow onion, diced
  7. 3/4 c mayonnaise
  8. 1 T oregano, dried
  9. baguette bread, sliced into 1/2 in pieces
  10. crackers


  1. Cut the ham and salami into small pieces by rolling jelly-roll style, thinly slicing, and then slicing again into half moon-shaped pieces.
  2. Mix the meats in a bowl with oregano and mayonnaise.
  3. Add the cheese and onion.
  4. Add lettuce and tomato just before serving.
  5. Transfer to a serving platter.
  6. Serve with slices of bread and crackers.
