Kalua Pork (Instant Pot)

Ingredients

  1. 4-5 lb pork shoulder (pork butt)
  2. 1 T coarse red Hawaiian sea salt
  3. 3/4 T green tea leaves
  4. 1 T liquid smoke
  5. 1 c water

Instructions

  1. Cut pork into 2 inch cubes, then place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add sea salt, tea leaves, and liquid smoke. Mix very well, them marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Pour 1 cup water into Instant Pot.
  4. Add pork cubes in a single layer so they are partially submerged in the water.
  5. Pressure cook on high for 50 mnutes, then 15 minute natural release.
  6. Shred the pork with 2 forks, add back some of the cooking liquid.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
