Fall off the Bone Ribs (Instant Pot)

Pre-Notes

    If you want to make one rack of ribs, make half of the dry rub, but use the same amount of water and vinegar. The cooking time remains the same.

Ingredients

    Dry Rub

  1. 1/2 c brown sugar
  2. 1/4 c chili powder
  3. 1 T dried parsley
  4. 2 t salt
  5. 2 t pepper
  6. 2 t garlic powder
  7. 2 t ground cumin
  8. 2 t onion powder
  9. 1 t smoked paprika
  10. Ribs

  11. 2 racks baby back ribs, membranes removed
  12. 1 c water
  13. 3 T apple cider vinegar
  14. 1 (12 oz) bottle barbeque sauce

Instructions

    Dry Rub

  1. Mix brown sugar, chili powder, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, and paprika in a bowl using a fork, breaking up any large clumps.
  2. Rub spice mixture over both sides of the ribs.
  3. Ribs

  4. Place a steam rack inside a multi-functional pressure cooker.
  5. Pour water and cider vinegar into the bottom of the pot.
  6. Lower ribs into the pot by curving them around the edge.
  7. Close and lock the lid. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 45minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  8. Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove lid.
  9. Set oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.
  10. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil; place ribs on the foil.
  11. Top with barbeque sauce.
  12. Broil ribs until sauce is bubbling, about 3 minutes.
  13. Serve immediately, with additional barbeque sauce.
