  1. 1/2 lb uncooked vermicelli
  2. 1/2 lb uncooked pancit bihon noodles, rice sticks
  3. 1 lb lean pork, cup into very small pieces
  4. 1/4 c canola oil
  5. 1/4 c soy sauce, divided
  6. 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  7. 1 onion, minced
  8. 3 c water
  9. 1 pork bouillon cube
  10. 6 c sliced mixed veggies: cabbage, matchstick carrots, red or green bell peppers, green onions, snow peas


  1. Soak vermicelli in hot water for about 5 minutes or until soft.
  2. Brown the pork in a large skilet with oil, 1 T soy sauce, garlic, and onion.
  3. Add the water, remaining soy sauce, and bouillon cube to the pork and bring to a low simmer.
  4. Add the vegetables and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Add the uncooked pancit noodles and the soaked vermicelli.
  6. Simmer over high heat until the noodles soak up all the broth.
  7. Serve immediately with soy sauce at the table.
