Cream Cheese Frosting

  1. 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
  2. 1 T butter, softened
  3. 4 c powdered sugar, sifted
  4. 1 t vanilla extract
  5. 3/4 c chopped pecans, toasted (optional)


  1. Beat cream cheese and butter at high speed of an electric mixer until soft and creamy.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating at low speed just until mixture is light.
  3. Gently stir in vanilla and pecans, if using.
