Toasted Pecan Halves

Ingredients

  1. 2 c pecan halves, 8oz.
  2. 2 T unsalted butter,
  3. 1 t salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Spread pecans on large baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes.
  3. Remove pan from oven, add butter and stir till coated.
  4. Sprinkle salt on evenly and stir.
  5. Lower oven temperature to 250°F and bake 20 to 30 minutes more. Stir twice more while baking.
  6. Test for doneness at 15 minutes - remember nuts continue to cook when taken from oven, so don't over cook them.

    Store these nuts in an airtight container or zipper lock bag to remain fresh until serving.
