    I like to serve this with Reuben Sandwiches on St. Patrick's Day!

    This recipe can be made the day before and microwaved to reheat.

Ingredients

  1. 1 head cabbage
  2. 2 T butter
  3. 2 T olive oil
  4. 1/2 t salt
  5. 1/2 t seasoned salt, or salt free seasoning
  6. black pepper
  7. 1 1/2 c chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Cut cabbage into quarters, removing the hard stem.
  2. In a large pot, add butter, olive oil, salt, pepper and cabbage.
  3. Add chicken broth and toss.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  5. Cover and reduce heat to medium low.
  6. Simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until cabbage is tender. Do not overcook.
