Artichoke Dip with Shrimp, Mustard, and Mozzarella

    This is a recipe from Blanchard's Restaurant in Anguilla, it was served as part of our book club discussion.


  1. 12 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  2. 4 oz sharp white Cheddar cheese, grated
  3. 1/3 c sour cream
  4. 1/4 c mayonnaise
  5. 3 T Dijon mustard
  6. 2 t Worcestershire sauce
  7. 18 oz marinated artichoke hearts, drained and coarsely chopped
  8. 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, shelled and deveined, cut into 1/4 in pieces
  9. 2 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, finely chopped
  10. 2 shallots, minced
  11. 3 T fresh thyme, minced or 1 T dried
  12. paprika for sprinkling
  13. tortilla chips or pita crisps, for serving


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Using an electric mixer, combine cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce until well blended.
  3. Add the artichoke hearts, shrimp, mozzarella, shallots, and thyme, and mix well.
  4. Transfer to a 7x11 in baking dish, sprinkle lightly with paprika, and bake until golden brown, 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with chips.
