Mashed Potatoes (Meatball Shop)

    If making the mashed potatoes in advance, add a little extra milk to thin the consistency for reheating.

    These are great served with Mushroom Gravy.


  1. 5 large Yukon Gold Potatoes, quartered
  2. 1/2 c heavy cream
  3. 1/4 c whole milk
  4. 3 T unsalted butter
  5. 1 t salt


  1. Place the potatoes in a large pot with enough water to cover by 2 inches.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat; then reduce the heat to low and simmer until fork-tender, about 25 minutes.
  3. Drain thoroughly, until completely dry.
  4. Place the potatoes in a bowl, and while they are still hot, add the cream, milk, butter, and salt.
  5. Mash with a wire whisk or potato masher until well combined and relatively smooth.
  6. Serve immediately.
