Frosted Banana Bars

Ingredients

    Bars

  1. 1/2 c butter, softened
  2. 2 c sugar
  3. 3 eggs
  4. 1 1/2 c mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
  5. 1 t vanilla extract
  6. 2 c flour
  7. 1 t baking soda
  8. pinch salt
  9. Frosting

  10. 1/2 c butter, softened
  11. 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
  12. 4 c powdered sugar
  13. 2 t vanilla extract

Instructions

    Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 15x10x1 inch baking pan, set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  4. Beat in eggs, bananas and vanilla.
  5. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  6. Pour into prepared pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until bars test done.
  8. Cool.
  9. Frosting

  10. Cream butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
  11. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat well.
  12. Spread over bars.
  13. Refrigerate until serving.
