    Burgers are great served with Secret Sauce and Bacon Jam!


  1. 1 1/4 lb 100% ground chuck
  2. 3/4 t salt
  3. 1/4 t ground black pepper
  4. buns
  5. desired toppings, such as cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup and mustard


  1. Break up chuck meat to increase surface area for seasonings.
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper over meat; toss lightly with hands to distribute seasoning.
  3. Divide meat into 4 equal portions (5 oz each); with cupped hands, toss one portion of meat back and forth to form loose ball. Pat lightly to flatten into 1 inch thick burger, 3 1/2 to 4 inches across, using fingertips create an indent in the center of the patty.
  4. Grill on high heat for about 5 minutes per side until well done.
  5. Serve on buns with desired toppings.
