Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

  1. 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
  2. 1/2 c butter (no substitues), softened
  3. 1/4 t vanilla extract
  4. 3/4 c powdered sugar
  5. 2 T brown sugar
  6. 3/4 c miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  7. 3/4 c chopped pecans, finely chopped (optional)
  8. graham crackers or chocolate crackers for dipping


  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and brown sugar; beat just until combined.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  5. Place cream cheese mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap; shape into a ball.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  7. Just before serving, roll cheese ball in pecans (optional).
  8. Serve with crackers.
