Corn Cheese Dip

    Even though this dip has 1/4 c of diced jalepeno peppers, it is not very spicy!

    Consider making this recipe with grilled corn, in the summer.!


  1. 1/2 c sour cream
  2. 1/2 c mayonnaise
  3. 1/3 c picante sauce or salsa
  4. 1/4 t pepper
  5. 1/8 t garlic powder
  6. 3 c sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (12 oz)
  7. 1 (14.5 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained, or 4 ears of corn, grilled and cut from cob
  8. 1 (12 oz) can whole kernel corn, rinsed and drained
  9. 1/4 c jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
  10. corn chips, tortilla chips and/or crackers
  11. sour cream dollop for garnish (optional)


  1. Stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, salsa, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
  2. Stir in cheese, corn, black beans and jalapeno pepper.
  3. Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
  4. Dollop with sour cream, optional, before serving.
  5. Serve with fritos scoops or tortilla chips.
