Spinach Dip with Pumpernickel Bread

    This is a Christmas Eve favorite!


  1. 1 (10 oz) pkg chopped frozen spinach, thawed drained and liquid pressed out
  2. 1 1/2 c sour cream
  3. 1 c mayonnaise
  4. 3 green onions, white and green parts, chopped
  5. 1 (8 oz) can diced water chestnuts, drained
  6. 1 (1.4 oz) pkg Knorr's vegetable recipe mix
  7. 1 lb pumpernickel bread round
  8. 1 lb pumpernickel bread loaf


  1. Mix all ingredients together and chill overnight.
  2. Cut a circular hole in the round pumpernickel bread and hollow out to use as a bowl for the dip.
  3. Cut the pumpernickel loaf into cubes and serve alongside the dip bowl.
